Recruiting New Lab Members
The SDSU Climate Informatics Lab (SCIL) continuously recruits
students (both graduate and undergraduate) and visitors
to do research on climate data analysis
and visualization, machine learning/AI applications to climate science,
and big data.
US governmental fellowships are available for the eligible US citizens.
The lab students can major in mathematics, statistics, data science,
computational science, computer science, atmospheric
science, oceanography, environmental science and engineering, or other climate-related

2023: SCIL joins the NSF AI Institute AI2ES as a partner
This is a collaborative project led by Sam Shen in collaboration with Distinguished Professor & Henry Samueli Endowed Chair Efi Foufoula-Georgiou (Co-Principal Investigator) at the University of California-Irvine and Lloyd G. and Joyce Austin Presidential Professor Amy McGovern (Co-Principal Investigator) at Universiyt of Oklahoma.
2014: SCIL joins the NSF EaSM-3 project
This project is led by Professor Yongkang Xue of UCLA in collaboration with Dr. William Parton of Colorado State University
